Quick verdict
Bumble arrived in 2014. Since August 2026 anyone in a match may open with one message and the other person has three days to reply. The app is free, with Boost and Premium on top. Lumen, once the over-50s favourite, says it is becoming part of Bumble and has stopped running. Old F-Buddy is for mature adults who want casual sex, not a relationship app.
